Start Your Day Right with Breakfast

On the same road as Stone Soup Coworking, Artiston and Starata are good choices for classic Greek pies. Spinach, cheese, mushroom, and zucchini, all baked fresh daily. Shirily, one of our coworkers, picks the crustless Batzina zucchini pie and we definitely recommend the milk pie for something sweet.

Black Salami Sandwich is a great spot for warm sandwiches and soft focaccia. Quick, satisfying, and easy. Our coworkers recommend the pastrami sandwich. Remember to get there early because there’s often a queue out the door!

Breaks for Focus and Energy

MOTIV Coffee is just around the corner you can enjoy expertly crafted coffee, delectable pastries, and inviting indoor or outdoor seating. Coffee Lab & Coffee island are two popular coffee companies both in super close proximity to Stone Soup.

Up Kittariki Threpsi, or Pure juice bar, is the go-to for fresh juices and smoothies. Our community managers’ favorite: ginger, cucumber, green apple, and spinach.

Coworking tip: Short breaks are perfect to reset your focus and avoid burnout also its a great opportunity to meet your coworkers better!

Lunch and Dinner Options

So you’ve worked all day, and you’re starving… We have some great options for every craving you may have, and more!

Λόντζα της Γειτονιάς: Cozy homemade meals with a contemporary twist. They post the day’s dishes on Instagram and open after 13:00. We love that their produce is fresh and high quality, you know exactly what you’re eating.

Meat and Roses is a local souvlaki spot with top-quality meat. It’s Olga and George’s current favorite. Other places to try in the area include Prigkripas & Prodorpion.

Order in: Nikiforos is a Cretan taverna run by a Stone Soup family friend. The menu is full of traditional Cretan dishes, stews, fresh grilled fish and meat, cooked vegetables and classic dishes, like moussaka and pastitsio. We Cook is an online store run by a Stone Soup long acquaintance and older member. They offer daily fresh, healthy, restaurant-quality meals. Each dish comes from a different independent chef, so the menu is constantly changing. You can find the menu here

Coworking tip: Take away from a local spot and enjoy the food on our rooftop with acropolis view!

Vegan or Vegetarian? Our neighborhood has it all!

We know Greece may not seem like the easiest place to enjoy food as a vegan/vegeterian, but don’t be fooled. Many traditional greek foods just happen to be vegan, and the traditional restaurants mentioned above will have some options for you! But we do also have some special places in mind:

Mystic Pizza has been a staple in Exarchia for over 20 years. We recommend getting the avocado pizza you won’t regret!

Pure Juice Bar is a new discovery for us and great option if you’re after something lighter. The Rainbow Tuna Bowl is fresh, filling, and one of our top picks.

Cookoomela and Ap’allou are both excellent for vegan and vegetarian options, with plenty of satisfying choices beyond the usual basics.

Coworking tip: Make note of vegan/ vegetarian options in your area, perfect for hosting coworkers or clients with dietary preferences.

A Street Full of Independent Stores

If you haven’t walked down Zoodochou Pigis yet, it’s worth adding to your route. A short walk from Stone Soup Coworking, it’s home to three of our favourite independent artistic stores.

Kiti and Fifi is a small, intimate concept store specialising in unique printed graphic designs and artistic pieces. Another spot is Redy Exarchia. The store is a colourful, custom-illustrated design studio with a big selection of prints, cards, books, and more, so there is plenty to discover.

Simoon Jewelry Studio has a lovely selection of handcrafted jewels. From delicate everyday pieces to something a little more special, there is a good range of styles and prices. making it an easy stop whether you have a specific gift in mind or are just browsing.

Whether you are hunting for a gift or a treat for yourself, this little street has you covered.
