Project Description
The Aquanetix founders wanted to use software and hardware technology to provide a solution for the aquaculture industry. The industry is in dire need of better information-based management strategies to increase performance and sustainability.
The goal was to use Cloud Technology, smart-phones and a game-like graphical interface to make knowledge of aquaculture management practices more accessible to even the smallest operations.
How we solved it
Our approach
The Stone Soup team worked with Aquanetix for an extended period of time to build a system that allowed real-time data collection by the farm workers and to test the system at the actual fish farms. Data collection focused on feeding, environmental parameters, stock behavior and health status, infrastructure conditions and other parameters that affect farm performance.
